Some key information related to Microsoft's next console is to be revealed by a major outlet this Thursday
Gamers could get their first peek at Microsoft's next console, codenamed Xbox Scorpio, later this week.
Digital Foundry, a subsection of the Eurogamer website that specialises in game technology and hardware reviews, has announced that it will have an "exclusive Xbox Scorpio reveal" on Thursday.
Given the site's speciality and history of hardware exclusives, it makes sense that it would be the outlet to reveal key information related to the upcoming console.
First teased at Microsoft's E3 presentation last year, Xbox Project Scorpio is a new console that will replace the Xbox One S as the company's flagship gaming device.
As an iterative update of the Xbox One, it will be compatible with all Xbox One games and accessories, but will be host to true 4K gaming and an impressive 6 teraflops of graphical processing power.
This will technically make it the most powerful console on the market - even more so than Sony's current flagship console, the PlayStation 4 Pro .
