We take a look at some of the best dinosaur-themed events that are sure to wow parents and children alike...

1. Jurassic Kingdom: Where Dinosaurs Come To Life

Jurassic Kingdom has been nicknamed the 'real-life Jurassic Park' by fans

Hailed as a 'real-life Jurassic Park' by excited fans, this outdoor experience is packed with animatronic dinosaurs that swing their tails and open their jaws to release terrifying roars!
The exhibition launches in April, and will be touring the UK, kicking off at Osterley Park in London before heading to a series of cities including Birmingham, Manchester, Blackpool, Newcastle, Leeds, Nottingham and Glasgow.
On the door, adult tickets cost £13 and a child's ticket is £11, but if you buy online then they are each £1.50 cheaper - prices may vary depending on location.

2. Paultons Park's Lost Kingdom

Paultons Park's Lost Kingdom launched last year

Launched last year, the Lost Kingdom is ideal for adventurous families. Those brave enough can face the two thrilling rollercoasters, the Flight of the Pterosaur and the Velociraptor, or embark on a 4x4 Jurassic Jeep expedition where they might come face to face with the park's T-Rex!
Younger kids can make the most of the dinosaur-themed adventure play park, as well as other family-friendly rides including Temple Heights and Dino Chase.
As well as Lost Kingdom there are plenty of other fun-filled attractions in the theme park such as Peppa Pig World which remains a firm favourite - check out what these parents had to say on TripAdvisor.
Tickets are £31.75 on the door, but you can save £4.50 by booking online on the Paultons Park website here.

3. Dinosaurs in the Wild

Dinosaurs in the Wild is an immersive experience

Set in the Cretaceous period, this immersive experience uses computer-generated imagery and animatronics to create a prehistoric world, so you'll feel like you've truly stepped back in time.
Kids will particularly love the Pathology Laboratory where they can meet the Purgatorius, the very first human ancestor - a tiny squirrel-like creature - or see examples of dinosaur teeth and even a full dinosaur arm.
Dinosaurs in the Wild will be open to the public from Saturday 24 June 2017 at Birmingham's NEC.

4. Dinosaurs of China

Some of these dinosaur skeletons have never been seen outside of Asia

Prepare to be amazed by some of the largest dinosaur skeletons in existence in this exciting exhibition kicking off this summer in Nottingham. There will be a host of fossils and skeletons that have never been seen before outside of Asia - so dinosaur fans will definitely want to make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime chance to check them out.
Discover spectacular predators from including the Mamenchisaurus, a dinosaur the same height as three double decker buses, or the Gigantoraptor, the largest feathered dinosaur in the world.
The main exhibition will take place at Wollaton Hall, but there will also be a second exhibition at Nottingham University's Lakeside Arts where the Alxasaurus and Dilophosaurus will reside.
The exhibition will run from 1st July to 29th October. Wollaton Hall exhibition is priced at £7.70 per adult and £5.50 for a child - family tickets are available. The Nottingham Lakeside Arts exhibition is free of charge.
